Fairy wings and playground swings

I went with this adorable family to Mueller Park on Wednesday and we had a fun shoot. We saw rainbows and ducks in the lake, played on swings, and almost knocked Daddy into the water! Here are some of my favorite images from our day:

Two little monkeys - the "K" boys

This was a very entertaining (and tiring!) session. :) These crazy boys (4 and almost 2), made me work hard for every shot! The ones we did get are so cute that I had to post a bunch of them:

Beautiful morning, beautiful family - The Family "S"

I live in South Austin and this family lives in Round Rock (and have only been there for a short time), so I had to rely on the advice of friends on where to go WAY up north. :) I was directed to Memorial Park in Round Rock. It was a very pretty setting for photographs complete with ducks and a lake surrounded by trees that were actually changing colors! This little man was not interested in me or my camera at all, but was instead fascinated by rocks, leaves, flowers, anything that would keep him looking down instead of letting me capture his adorable face. Mom and Dad worked hard to get those little eyes looking up, and I hope they took a well-deserved nap when we were finished! Here are some of my favorites shots:

Sunshine and smiles - The Family "R"

Fun, fun, fun photo shoot yesterday! This was the happiest and most loving family and it was a joy to work with them. They're building a home in the hills of Georgetown and their land made for a really beautiful backdrop. Here are some of the images from our session:

Halloween Portrait Party

Success! The Portrait Party went really, really well this weekend - 12 families, 18 kids (20 if you count mine who HAD to have their photos taken, too), and lots and lots of pumpkins! The kids seemed to have fun, the costumes were wonderful, and it was a great early Halloween celebration. (Big pumpkin cookies with lots of icing might have contributed to everyone's happiness.) We had zoo animals, princesses, two Dorothys (one of whom was NOT happy about showing up in the same outfit), Star Wars characters, an astronaut, even a lemur! I'd love to make this an annual event - if I recover from this one in time. Here are some of my favorite shots of each little goblin:

Busy, busy

Whew, this is turning out to be a great fall! I have several clients lined up next week, more ready to do Christmas card photos, and my Halloween Portrait Party tomorrow! I'm excited and running around like mad. I'll post some photos of the cute little pumpkins that I get to photograph tomorrow. I can't wait!
